ONE | A Potter’s House Church is a vibrant and dynamic community dedicated to making a positive impact. We are excited to announce an opening for a skilled, experienced Worship Pastor who is dynamic and spiritually grounded individual responsible for leading worship during services and events. This role is specifically focused on building and nurturing a talented, spiritually engaged worship team that contributes to ONE’s musical expression. The Worship Pastor will work closely with the worship lead team and musical director to foster a culture of worship that aligns with the heart of ONE.
Position Overview:
We’re seeking a Worship Pastor with a strong creative vision and a heart for God’s presence—someone who can shape sound and atmosphere both in the room and online, aligning worship with the story God is telling through ONE.
We are looking for someone who (is):
Worship Leader:
Plan and lead worship experiences during services and events (Sunday services, Weekly Bible Study, Conferences, etc.).
Maintain consistent scheduled availability.
Coordinate and lead regular rehearsals for both the choir and worship team.
Attend regular meetings to provide updates on worship-related activities and seek input for continuous improvement.
Training Program Development:
Develop and implement a comprehensive training program/model for cultivating a skilled and spiritually anchored worship team.
Identify and address the musical and spiritual needs of individuals within the worship team.
Facilitate auditions and oversee departmental onboarding for volunteers.
Organize bi-monthly choir and worship gatherings.
Foster a sense of unity, community, and spiritual growth within the worship team.
Musical Development:
Work closely with the Musical Director to enhance the musicality of the worship band.
Coordinate and lead worship team rehearsals, working with musicians, vocalists, production, and audio teams to ensure a cohesive and harmonious sound.
Provide ongoing feedback and support for individual growth and development within the worship team and the sound of worship during services.
Identify and nurture the unique talents and giftings of team members.
Collaboration:
Assist the Musical Director in programming and arranging services, events, or any other projects as needed.
Partner with other worship leads to create clear direction on musical arrangements and performance expectations.
Record background vocals for stems as needed.
Collaborate on song selection for the weekly setlist.
Establish departmental structure and vision.
Collaborate with the pastoral team, other worship leaders, and ministry leaders to ensure alignment with the overall vision and goals of the church.
Job requirements
A deep personal commitment to Jesus Christ and a vibrant spiritual life.
Proven experience as a worship leader, with a strong understanding of various worship styles.
Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to recruit, train, and develop volunteers for the worship team and choir.
Experience in creating and implementing training programs for worship teams.
